Steve Earle is man who knows how to tell a story โ€“ there is one in every song from the album Guitar Town to Washington Square Serenade, to his current release, Guy โ€“ a tribute to his kindred spirit Guy Clark. Steve blends country-style storytelling with bluesy, roots-rock music, and always with a message.

Steve left โ€œBush countryโ€ for Greenwich Village nearly 15 years ago. He defines himself as โ€œeverything the establishment is notโ€: unapologetically liberal, a vocal opponent of capital punishment, a re-habbed gravely-voiced, country-sounding, bluesy musician in the middle of New York.
