Let Freedom Ring! Music & Voices of the March for Civil Rights: Then & Now, the short film by award-winning Spanish director Veronica Vigil that encapsulates our multimedia presentation honoring the sixtieth anniversary of the March on Washington, has been chosen to be part of Justice Sunday on January 14. First observed over two decades ago by the National Alliance of Faith and Justice, Justice Sunday mobilizes individuals and groups in collaborative community service in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.
The day’s twelve hours of music, film, spoken word, and much more is presented by the Washington-based 400 Years of African American History Commission. Streaming will begin at 12 pm EST on the Commission's website and on their streaming TV channel on smogotelevision.com which can be accessed via Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire. It will run continuously until noon on January 15, Dr King’s birthday.
Let Freedom Ring will be featured in hour eight, which begins at 7pm EST.
