On Location Tours is an award-winning TV and movie-themed bus and walking tour company, with tours operating in NYC and Boston. All of the tours feature filming locations from various series and films, such as Sex and the City, Friends, The Sopranos, Gossip Girl, and more. Some iconic locations include the Friends apartment building, the Ghostbusters firehouse, Carrie Bradshaw's brownstone, the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps, and more! All of our tour guides are local actors and actresses, who share behind-the-scenes info and fun trivia throughout the tour. Georgette Blau, the founder, started the company in 1999. She was inspired to start it when she first moved to New York City. Her first apartment was a stone’s throw from where The Jeffersons (George & Louise) lived. She had an a-ha moment and began scouting other New York City locations that had been used in filming TV shows and movies. Using her passion for TV and movies as inspiration, she took that moment and created On Location Tours. The tours are offered as both public and private sightseeing experiences. Limo tours are also available for bachelorettes and birthdays.
