Diane Zahler grew up reading children’s books and never wanted to do anything but write them. Now she’s the author of six middle-grade fantasy novels: The Thirteenth Princess, A True Princess, Princess of the Wild Swans, Sleeping Beauty’s Daughters, Baker’s Magic, and the Marvelwood Magicians. Her newest book for young readers is a historical novel, Daughter of the White Rose, set in England in the 1400s. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband and slightly neurotic dog in what is aptly nicknamed the Bug House.
