Antoinette Montague hails from Newark, performs in New York, and is an international entertainer, educator, producer, promoter, and host of a Saturday morning jazz radio talk show on WHCR. Mentored by many greats including Etta Jones, Carrie Smith, and Inez McClendon, Antoinette has in turn mentored many current artists and teaches MBA students at Lincoln Center. She is an Adjunct Professor at Marymount Manhattan College, teaching jazz and blues. She also teaches incarcerated persons for MOTI (Music on the Inside) and foster care children, and is part of Jazz at NYCโs ACS for Jazz Power Initiative. Antoinette is CEO of the Jazz Woman to the Rescue Foundation which encourages the donation of instruments to young people. A contributor to community affairs as well as to the growth and welfare of young urban adults, she proudly brings her heart, joy and experience to the Newark School of the Arts. Antoinetteโs latest album is World Peace in the Key of Jazz.
