Emily Tong is a 20-year-old pianist based in New York City. Emily has studied at the Third Street Music School Settlement under Joan Forsyth, and is currently pursuing undergraduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music under Daniel Epstein.
Emily has performed in various prestigious venues, from the iconic Greene Space at WQXR to the Wiener Musikverein in Austria. She has worked with conductors such as Robert Spano, Emilio Colon and Edwin Outwater, and collaborated with renowned soloists such as Carol Wincenc. Emily has also been a part of multiple music festivals such as the Tanglewood Music Festival and the Round Top Summer Music Festival.
Awards Emily has received include the Dina Koston Young Artists Fellowship from the Roger Shapiro Fund for New Music, the First Prize from the Westchester Music Teachers Association Competition, and winner of the Third Street Music School Concerto Competition.
